'We have rather been invaded'

21 Woodlands Terrace Glasgow, G3 6DF

3 December 2016

Saturday 3 December, 3pm

Programmed by Ed Webb-Ingall as part of an ongoing project exploring the impact of Section 28, this screening and panel discussion focused on the importance of media interventions, campaign tapes and artist videos made by lesbian and gay activists in the UK in response to the law. Webb-Ingall selected a collection of videos that highlight the themes and concerns in Hayes’ exhibition, foregrounding issues of visibility and misrepresentation that were central to lesbian and gay media activism at the time.

The screening was followed by a discussion between Laura Guy, Lecturer in Art Context and Theory at Glasgow School of Art, Sue John, Enterprise Development Manager at Glasgow Women’s Library and Ed Webb-Ingall, filmmaker and writer.
